Maisha worked in both Angola, in collaboration with Rooftops Canada’s partner Development Workshop, and Uganda, with Shelter and Settlements Alternatives. In both roles, she was instrumental in creating engaging and informative digital content tailored for social media, newsletters, and fact sheets. Her work helped enhance outreach efforts, ensuring that key messages on housing, gender equality, and community development reached a wider audience in an accessible and impactful way.

Toussade collaborated with Rooftops Canada’spartnerin Uganda, Shelter and Settlements Alternatives (SSA), where she played a key role in documenting community experiences and supporting legal awareness initiatives. She conducted interviews with paralegals and community members to develop compelling case stories that highlighted critical housing and land rights issues. Additionally, she created fact sheets, training materials, and newsletters, ensuring that both paralegals and SSA partners remained informed and equipped with the latest knowledge and resources.

Amelia collaborated with Rooftops Canada’s partner, Socio-Economic Rights Institute (SERI), in South Africa, where she played a key role in researching and developing fact sheets. She successfully produced a comprehensive set of 11 fact sheets on women’s property rights, designed to serve as a vital resource for community advice offices across the country. These fact sheets will empower women by equipping them with essential knowledge about their housing and inheritance rights.
